We are a GO for the ATM session!

The Star Party may get clouded out. If you are just coming for the Star Party check the weather before driving out.

***UPDATE***

Beginning at 4:30pm, Francisco will be presenting an ATM session on Radio Astronomy. This will include a tour of the radio telescope at Rosemary Hill and a presentation on its use and data. This is sure to be a special session covering an area of astronomy you might not be as familiar with.

AAC will be ordering some dinner items for members who register and we plan to eat around 6:00pm.

Please be sure to join us for this fascinating addition to the activities on Saturday.

Dr. Francisco Reyes has invited AAC's members to a special Star Party at UF Rosemary Hill Observatory in Bronson.

Sun sets at 8:16 pm.

Please arrive after 7:00 pm and 30 minutes before the sun sets to set up telescopes. You may drive up to 30" dome to setup scopes but MUST park in parking lot which is right of Dorm (Dorm on left side of street) or both sides of street (in grass/dirt) before Dorm.

Chiefland Dark Sky Star Party (6 Jun 2026)

AAC has organized a dark sky star party at one of the darkest skies on the east coast!

Sunset is 8:29 pm.

Arrive at least one hour before sunset for setup and to get familiar with the observing field before dark.
