I purchased this large aperture telescope in Feb 2022, and it is in excellent condition with an active 2-yr warranty. It provides a superb visual window on deep sky and solar system objects. Its 1650 mm focal length at f/4.6 also yields wonderful lunar and planetary astrophotography results, two examples of which are shown in this ad.

All original accessories are included: 9x50 finder scope, dual-speed 2" Crayford focuser, 10-mm & 25-mm Plossl eyepieces, 2" and 1.25" eyepiece adapters, SynScan hand controller and cable, and DC power cigarette lighter style cable. SW did not include a power supply itself when I bought this, and I use a 12-V (30-A) regulated power supply ($26 from Amazon). Something like a Celestron Power Tank will also do the job.

Commercial add-ons include Telrad sight with 4" riser, Astrozap light shroud, Bob's knobs for secondary collimation, HoTech SCA Crosshair Laser Collimator, an extra Apertura 1.25" Eyepiece Rack, ADM VSAD-TPD-V Series Saddle for mounting additional devices near the altitude axis, and 3 12-V computers fans beneath primary mirror cell.

Additionally, I designed and 3D-printed a full-aperture Bahtinov focusing mask, azimuth circle section for polar reckoning, a magnetically attachable counter weight to balance accessories at the focuser, and two fixed counter weights attached to the back of mirror cell.

To have the ability to easily roll the nearly 150-lb telescope from my garage to my driveway. I also made a very rigid platform using 4-in locking casters. This gives an eyepiece height at zenith of 73". Without the platform, that height is 65". Thus it is necessary to use a small stepladder for objects at a high altitude. Believe me, the views are worth the little extra effort. I am reluctantly selling the instrument due to a chronic Achilles tendon problem that affects balance and makes climbing stepladders in the dark risky.

If you want to use away from home, the base quickly breaks down into multiple sections for loading into a vehicle. It is actually easier to travel with the SW 14" than it is with their 12" for which the base does not so easily break down.

The telescope OTA and base are too large to pack for shipping, so I am hoping to find a buyer with a reasonable driving distance of Gainesville. My original cost for the telescope alone, including tax and shipping was $4,175. The above add-ons cost about $600, giving a $4,775 new replacement cost for everything except the additions I made. The telescope is now back-ordered on the major vendor sites. I'm asking $3,200 for all items, payable via PayPal for which I'll absorb the 3% PayPal fee. I'll happily reduce the price by another $250 for any AAC member who would like to buy the telescope.
