Tonight is a GO!  AAC volunteers can arrive as early as 4 pm and no later than 5:30 pm to set up.


AAC volunteers needed for a Star Gazing Outreach @ Hickory Ranch.  Members with and without telescopes please register for entry to the event.

Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park is hosting campfire, music, food, and, weather permitting, star gazing at Hickory Ranch.  Tickets are being issued by the Park will be limited to 200 visitors.

Sunset is at 5:31 pm with moon rise at 8:05 pm ENE with 94.9% illumination....so a spectacular sight rising over the prairie!

Volunteers should arrive no later than 5:30 pm.  Pick out several sky objects and note a few details about them to share.  AC power is available, bring a long extension chord if needed.  Temps fall after dark so dress warmly.

GO or NO GO will be posted here on AAC website and emailed to registrants by noon the day of event.

DIRECTIONS:
From Gainesville go South on US 441, then left at the traffic light in Micanopy (CR 234). Go 3.8 miles on CR 234. Hickory Ranch will be on your left side.
