AAC members are invited to participate in a special outreach evening with the residents of The Village at Gainesville. This is a wonderful opportunity to share your love of astronomy with a vibrant, curious senior community who truly enjoy engaging with guests.
Members are encouraged to bring telescopes, binoculars, or other observing equipment and help guide residents through celestial targets. Whether you’re an experienced outreach volunteer or joining for the first time, your presence and enthusiasm make a meaningful difference. Equipment field in registration helps us know what you're bringing - you can just bring yourself.
For those who may be coming directly from work. if you would like to drop off equipment ahead of the event, please contact Matthew Peters. Equipment may be stored a day or so ahead in a locked office.
